Sharon Webster (leader with 4th Crowthorne Guides) was selected to join the county trip to Iceland, after attending the INTOPS day in 2012. After lots of fundraising with support from the Guide units, she went with 22 girls and adults to stay at Úlfljótsvatn Scout Centre between 12-19 August. The week was full of activities including white water rafting, glacier hiking, whale watching and horse riding. One of the highlights was visiting the Blue Lagoon before heading to the airport on the way home, however the girls seemed even more impressed with the stop at KFC! Despite the rain and leaking tents, everyone had a fantastic time and are looking forward to meeting up again soon to reminisce.
