Brownies logoBrownies are girls aged seven to ten who become a member of a Six and follow a programme called the Brownie Adventure. Brownies opens up a world of exciting challenges and the opportunity to try new things and to make brilliant friends.

Brownies in Crowthorne do all sorts of fun activities including games, crafts, cooking, community action projects and exploring the outdoors. We have taken part in circus workshops, zip wires and climbing, and enjoyed outings to the beach, nature reserves and farms.

The Big Brownie Birthday logo In 2014, Brownies will be 100 years old. To celebrate, we are having The Big Brownie Birthday which will bring exciting opportunities and events to nearly a quarter of a million Brownies in the UK. The Big Brownie Birthday celebrations will start on 1 January 2014 and finish at the end of the 2014 school summer holidays.

The biggest adventure for Brownies is the chance to go on holidays and camps. In Crowthorne, we’ve had great fun on holidays to PGL, more traditional pack holidays and a sleepover for the whole District.

There are Brownies units that meet on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays in Crowthorne. If you would like to join Brownies, please register your interest at
